Know what a Kindle niche sells before you write.
TomeLens adds the numbers KDP authors need to Amazon's Kindle Store: organic rank, ads and exact ratings on every search result, and each book's Best Sellers Rank with estimated sales. Pro scores how hard a niche is and estimates royalties.

Questions
Is TomeLens safe for my Amazon or KDP account?
TomeLens only reads what Amazon already shows on the page you opened. It never clicks, buys or loads other Amazon pages, and it never touches your KDP account.
Do I need an Amazon account?
No. Kindle Store searches and book pages are public. TomeLens never asks for your Amazon password.
How do you estimate sales?
Amazon doesn't publish sales, only each book's Best Sellers Rank, so every tool estimates. TomeLens uses a published curve fitted to rank trackers' data for the US Kindle Store: about 76,900 ÷ rank0.94 sales a day. Rank 5,000 is about 25 a day, and rank 120,000 about 1. Ranks also count Kindle+ borrows and move every hour, so treat the numbers as a guide for comparing books, not as Amazon's figures.
How are royalties calculated?
With KDP's ebook rates on amazon.com: 70% of the price minus $0.15 per MB for delivery, for prices from $2.99 to $12.99, and 35% outside that range. Kindle+ page reads are paid from a separate fund and aren't included.
Why doesn't every search result show a rank?
Amazon shows the Best Sellers Rank only on each book's own page, and TomeLens never loads pages you didn't open. Open the books you're curious about: their ranks appear on later searches and in the Competition tab.
What does "indie" mean?
A book sold by Amazon.com Services LLC, as KDP books are. Amazon's own imprints are sold the same way, so they count too. Traditionally published ebooks are sold by their publisher.
Which browsers and Amazon sites does it work on?
Microsoft Edge and Firefox on desktop, on amazon.com's Kindle Store. A Chrome version is planned.
How do I unlock Pro?
Buy Pro, then copy the license key from your receipt email. In your browser, open the TomeLens toolbar button, choose "Enter license key" and paste it. Before buying, you can try it: the free version unlocks every Pro feature on the panel for 3 searches a day.
Can I use one license in several browsers?
Yes, in up to 3 browsers. To move a license, deactivate it in the browser you no longer use.
How do I cancel?
Use the "Manage subscription" link in your receipt email. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of any payment. See the refund policy.
Is TomeLens affiliated with Amazon?
No. TomeLens is an independent tool. Amazon, Kindle and Kindle Direct Publishing are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
